Formed in October 1988, the EMBG evolved from a group of pilots and enthusiasts meeting once a month to socialise. The already established Midlands Balloon Group was based in the West Midlands and therefore not so convenient for balloonist living in the East of the region.

EMBG is proactive in organising social events and training seminars as well as some very popular balloon meets within our area. Membership is not restricted to living in the area and we have several members from all the over the country.
